We ensure that the history and heritage of Riverstown/Glanmire is maintained and preserved. Projects include: A set of walking trails, heritage Christmas cards and calendars, photographic exhibitions, centenary celebrations, local heritage week events etc.
We meet every 6 weeks
Mary Crowley (Chair)
We play Indoor Bowls and practice in teams for competitions. Train new members in the basics. Run practice sessions to improve play. Short Mat Bowls is a completely mixed sport in which men and women, young and old can compete equally together creating a great social atmosphere.
Wednesday nights 7.30pm to 9.30pm
We cater for all ages from 5 to adult. We provide an outlet for the competitive and the not competitive. We won 2007 Super League Champions of Ireland. We have 11 teams playing in the local leagues.
Monday to Friday each week, with each team provided with their own training slot at Little Island Sports Complex, Little Island, Co. Cork
We Train girls aged 8 upwards for ladies football team competitions.

Glanmire Macra na Feirme is a youth organisation for 17-35 year olds who take part in the following key areas: Sports & Recreation, Travel, Community Involvement, Public Speaking, Performing Arts, Youth Services and Agriculture. Our activities include: volleyball, soccer, basketball, unihoc, football, solo singing, set dancing, drama, debating, public speaking, welding, farm skills, socialising, quizzes, fundraising…the list goes on. Above all Glanmire Macra is a great way to meet young people and to socialise. Curious?
